Mia

Fingerstyle: this is the word associated to this guitar.
The ideal instrument for who is used to play with this tecnique. I will tell you why.
I have been building this instrument from the very beginning of my activity as luthier, it is my project and for this reason I called it “Mia” (mine).
Design, shape, structure, woods, everything is the result of my personal choices, developed during the years. The peculiar feature of this model is the deep sound.
The sounding board, the design and the choice of woods produce a rich sound with a lot of harmonics in every frequency range, with deep lows, projected mids and superb highs. Every note is so deep.
The Mia model reaches its best in the fingerstyle, when phrasing and when playing melodies combined with bass parts and rhythmic patterns, also when played in a percussive way the instrumet gives his best because of the thicker body shape which emphasises the low frequencies when hitting the body.
The sounding board is bigger than the standard ones, even if it cannot be considered a jumbo. The body dimensions and the type of construction help getting presence and a richer harmonics.
When embracing the guitar you don’t feel like having a big instrument, on the contrary this model is very easy to play thanks to the thinner sides that I use in order to reduce the phisycal thickness, but also to avoid having a large amount of air inside the body so that the global tonal qualities are well balanced.
I often use maple for the base and the sides. It is not only one of the most beautiful woods, it helps giving that warm tonal character derived by itself. It can of course be customised with other woods and finishings. Contact me to find out what suits more you, I will help you to find the best solution!
